who lives and works in Milan (Italy)

she specialises in raku, an ancient Japanese technique used by zen monks in the xvi century

for the realisation of tea ceremony bowls

 

the philosophy of raku is to reach harmony 

through the simplicity of nature, and to be able

to accept the result whatever the intention

 

working intuitively with the matter,

elisabetta breaks the traditional norms of raku 

to create organic shapes which are reminiscent

of a primordial essence
